Abstract
Larvae of D. melanogaster tend to move away from the light source for pupation whereas the larvae of D. willistoni pupate in relatively more illuminated regions. The respective responses of these spp. to light intensity are increased when the 2 spp. are raised together. It is suggested that light intensity may serve as a factor determining the degree of interspecific competition of drosophilae. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
