Abstract
The possibility was explored of using solvent extraction in centrifugal contactors to concentrate metal ions from a waste stream when their distribution ratio values are favorable. The theoretical basis for such a concentrator was developed and is presented here, along with experimental results which show that a centrifugal contactor is capable of acting as such a concentrator. Keywords
