Abstract
Haemaphysalis silvafelis sp. n. is described from males and females from a jungle cat Felis chaus subsp. taken in a teak forest near Hyderabad. This new species is related to H. turturis Nuttall and Warburton but easily distinguished by several distinct characters, chief among them being reduction of the elevated basal spur of the dorsobasal margin of palpal segment 3 (in turturis) to a mere curvature of the margin in this place. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
