Abstract
The basophil cells in the ant. lobes of 721 pituitary bodies removed in routine necropsy were examined for the hyaline change described by Crooke and considered the sole common anatomic denominator in cases of pituitary basophilism. 54 of the pituitary bodies contained basophil adenomas. The hyaline change was found to a marked extent in 8, but the clinical and post-mortem records revealed no evidence of the syndrome in question. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
