Abstract
Pituitary metastases were found in 18 (1.0 %) out of 1,857 autopsy cancer cases. Metastases were present in the anterior lobes of 4 and in the posterior lobes of 6 patients. Both lobes were affected in the remaining 8 cases. The breast appeared to be the most frequent primary tumor site. The clinical and pathological features of pituitary cancer metastases are discussed. Keywords
