Abstract
The problem of species eradication of insects of the subfamily Anophelini is reviewed in the light of new information produced by analytical means. The concept of the critical level of interference, beyond which eradication would occur, is explained in simple terms. The dynamics of anopheline populations challenged with residual insecticide spraying or sterile adult releases are discussed in an attempt to define the minimal requirements of successful trials.This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
