Abstract
286 alcoholic Ss were divided into subcategories on the basis of seven admission variables. The mean MMPI scale scores of the subcategories were compared Education, age, population of area of residence, marital status, and admission status emerged as the variables most clearly associated with differential MMPI responses. On the other hand, surprisingly few differences were associated with the number of admissions for treatment of alcoholism or religious preference. Keywords
