Abstract
The management of the recently acquired or old deviated obstructing septums in children is always difficult. The desire to be surgically conservative with the "growing nose" runs into the practical problem of attempting to relieve any nasal respiratory obstruction caused by the deviated septum. This is further complicated, on the one hand, by the desire to correct any external nasal deformity that might be present and, on the other, by the possibility of its occurrence as the result of surgery on the septum.
