Abstract
Contagion, overpopulation, and poverty threaten U.S. interests and contribute to instability in developing countries. These factors prevent progressive democracies from attaining their potential as economic partners and regional powers. The United States has great potential to employ its economic, political, military, and informational influence to assist willing partners in overcoming health, population, and environmental challenges that threaten regional stability and promote conflict. Keywords
