Abstract
The occurrence of local configuration based PVC‐solvent interactions, specifically, is demonstrated by studying, first, the changes in FTIR frequency of both the solvent carbonyl band and the PVC C‐Cl stretching bands with the composition of PVC‐solvent mixtures; and, secondly, the FTIR dichroic behaviour of the same bands upon stretching PVC films containing traces of solvent. The latter turns out to be an original path to investigate polymer interactions. Keywords
