Abstract
1. Auf die Notwendigkeit einer plastischen Rekonstruktion der Speiseröhre bei schweren Formen der Verätzungsstriktur wird hingewiesen. 2. Über eine mehrzeitig durchgeführte Ösophagoplastik mit intrathorakaler Verlagerung des Kolon bei einem 4œjährigen Knaben mit schwerer Verätzungsstriktur wird berichtet, wobei die Vorzüge dieses Verfahrens dargelegt werden. The place of plastic reconstruction of the oesophagus after severe stricture is discussed. A case of oesophageal stricture due to the accidental swallowing of caustic potash in a 4œ-year old boy is presented. The four-stage reconstruction of the oesophagus by transplanting the transverse colon into the thorax is described in detail. The surgical procedure in this case differed from that described by Waterston — who first performed this type of operation — in that only the right colic artery was ligated during the first stage the spleen was preserved. Esófagoplastia intratorácica utilizando el colon en estenosis debida a materias cáusticas 1.° Se insiste en la necesidad de una reconstrucción plástica del esófago en formas graves de estenosis causada por substancias cáusticas. 2.° Se informa acerca de una esófagoplastia ejecutada en varios tiempos con desplazamiento intratorácico del colon en un niño de 4 años y medio con estenosis grave producida por materia cáustica, señalando las ventajas de este procedimiento.
