Abstract
Aqueous extracts of dried powder of Aspergillus niger were repeatedly precipitated with tannic acid, adsorbed with A1(OH)3 gel, and eluted with primary and secondary phosphates. The final prepn. showed a [beta]-glucosidase activity exceeding that of the original dry mold by 104, and was practically free of other carbohydrases, except for a min. saccharase activity. N content of the purified enzyme was 15.7%.
