Abstract
Measurements of the elliptical figure of the sun made in 1966 are analyzed on an hourly basis. This analysis yields an improved measure of the previously found solar distortion, rotating rigidly with a sidereal period of 12.38±0.10 days. It also yields a set of residùals used to search for signals due to low-frequency solar oscillations. Keywords
