Abstract
Presents a modified spin-echo pulse sequence which eliminates the artefact described. The sequence will work under almost any conditions of echo time and repetition time. The behaviour of the sequence has been verified experimentally. The magnitude of the error caused by not using a SAFE pulse and assuming that the naive equation given is correct has been calculated in detail for a range of experimental parameters. Keywords
