Production of neutron-excess nuclei in ${}^{56}{Fe}$ -induced reactions

Abstract

The observation of new neutron-rich isotopes of

{}^{52 - 53}{Sc}

,

{}^{54 - 55}{Ti}

,

{}^{56}V

, and

{}^{58 - 59}{Cr}

produced in damped collisions of 8.3 MeV/u

{}^{56}{Fe}

ions with

{}^{238}U

and

{}^{209}{Bi}

is reported. Tentative identification for

{}^{56}{Ti}

,

{}^{57 - 58}V

,

{}^{60}{Cr}

,

{}^{61}{Mn}

, and

{}^{63}{Fe}

is also presented.
