Abstract
The cross section for evaporation residues produced in the complete-fusion reactions of 336-MeV with In has been measured. After correction for the heavy residues formed in transfer reactions, the evaporation-residue cross section is found to be 530 ± 150 mb, which corresponds to a "sharp-cutoff" angular momentum for evaporation residues of . This result is discussed in terms of various theoretical models.
