Abstract
The degradative effects produced in cotton and other textile fibers by unfiltered light from a "Sunshine" type carbon arc lamp were compared with those which occurred in identical mate rials during natural weather exposure tests, in which sunlight is believed to be the chief degrading factor. These comparative tests were designed to afford needed information about the action of short-wave radiation on textiles, and to evaluate the practical utility of such radiation in accel erated weathering techniques. Keywords
