Abstract
We present results of single crystal neutron diffraction studies of lanthanum and erbium doped CaF2. Difference Fourier maps reveal well-resolved interstitial structures. The results demonstrate trends in cluster structure with both dopant radius and with temperature and are in line with the predictions of computer simulation studies. Keywords
