Abstract
A discussion is given of experimental implications of the hypothesis that production cross sections die off rapidly with an increase in any of the independent invariant momentum transfers in the process. Consequences are presented for both high-energy laboratory and cosmic-ray conditions. The results are consistent with existing evidence. Keywords
