Abstract
The first molecular compound of divalent silicon that is stable under normal conditions and the first π‐complex with silicon as the central atom is decamethylsilicocene 2. It was prepared by reduction of 1 with naphthalenelithium, naphthalenesodium, or naphthalenepotassium. Two conformers in the ratio 1:2 are present in the unit cell. equation imageKeywords
