Abstract
A rectangular dielectric resonator (DR) antenna fed by a microstrip line through an aperture on the ground plane is analysed using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. The calculated return losses were compared with experiment and reasonable agreement was obtained. The effects of the slot width on the return loss are also studied. Keywords
