Kinetics and mechanism for the formation of oxygenated products from the photolysis of hexafluoroacetone–methane system

Abstract
In addition to CF3H and C2F6, four oxygenated products were identified in the photolysis of hexafluoroacetone–methane system: CH3COCF3, (CF3)3COH, (CF3)2(CH3)COH, and (CF3)2(CH3)COCF3. The mechanism for the formation of these compounds is discussed, and the activation energies of several of the reactions involved are evaluated from detailed temperature and composition studies.
