Abstract
Important features of plain radiography of the cervical spine in chronic myelopathies are determination of the sagittal diameter of the osseous spinal canal and demonstration of a pincers mechanism, which occurs in maximal extension in the case of retrolisthesis, and in maximal flexion of the cervical spine in the case of anterolisthesis. Keywords
