THIS ISSUE is devoted almost exclusively to the subject of Cutting Oils. We believe that this is timely, since we have little doubts that the machine tool industry will be working overtime in the near future. Some sections of this industry have not had sufficient work for available capacity this year, and it is difficult to pin-point the reason for this—possibly the forthcoming election may have had some effect. It now seems certain, however, that they are gearing up again to full capacity and the use and application of correct cutting oils is vital to their production efficiency.
