Abstract
The interferon stimulators, tilorone and pyran, inhibit cell-free protein synthesis in rabbit reticulocyte lysates. Virazole, an antiviral drug which does not produce interferon, does not inhibit protein synthesis. Production of interferon may, therefore, be linked to inhibition of protein synthesisKeywords
