Abstract
Teflon FEP films, aluminized on one side, were first charged by monoenergetic electron beams through the nonmetalized surface and then metalized on this surface after a storage period. Thermally-stimulated-current (TSC) experiments on such samples yield two peaks above room temperature. The peak structure was found to be dependent on storage conditions: storage at room temperature does not significantly change the amplitude of the peaks but shifts the positions of the first peak above room temperature to higher tempertures; storage at 100 °C leads to a gradual amplitude decrease of the first peak and an increase of the second peak with a simultaneous shift in position of the first peak. The phenomena are discussed in terms of the time dependence of the radiation-induced conductivity generated by the electron-beam-charging process. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
