Abstract
Light scattering studies of thermally excited capillary waves at fluid interfaces are peculiarly susceptible to disturbance by external vibration even with a vibration-isolated optical table. The simple expedient of freely suspending the sample cell above the stable is shown to substantially reduce the sensitivity of the system to such perturbation. Keywords
