Abstract
Dividing spermatogonia showed 36 chromosomes; 12 of these were V-shaped macro-chromosomes and 24 were dot-like micro-chromosomes. In the primary spermatocytes there were 6 macro-chromosomes and 12 micro-chromosomes. Some of these stages, when seen in metaphase side view, had 6 hat-like tetrads. In polar view, the secondary spermatocyte showed 6 large chromosomes arranged in a circle surrounding the micro-chromosomes. No evidence was found to suggest the presence of sex chromosomes in this sp., but the X-X condition may exist in the macro-chromosomes.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
