Abstract
Total polyadenylated RNA was isolated from different organs of the field bean by oligo-dT latex particles. Complementary DNA (cDNA) was reverse transcribed from the mRNAs and used as a probe for fluorescent in situ hybridization to metaphase chromosomes. Hybridization signals covered the whole chromosome complement except for late-replicating Giemsa-banded heterochromatin regions, which are composed mainly (or exclusively) of tandemly arranged repetitive sequences.Key words: cDNA, field bean, fluorescent in situ hybridization. Keywords
