Abstract
Two different stationary regimes for roll instabilities in homeotropically oriented samples of nematic liquid crystals are observed. The roll pattern can develop parallel or perpendicular to the applied shear depending on the frequency of the imposed stress. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
