Abstract
Two uniformly convergent series are introduced to give bounded estimates of the dynamic polarizability in the region below as well as above the first resonance line. Upper and lower bounds on the oscillator strength can also be obtained from these approximations. The series are simple and rapidly convergent. Keywords
