Abstract
Tension, compression and rolling textures have been derived for the orthorhombic metal α-uranium. From a consideration of the relative importance of the slip and twinning mechanisms it is possible to differentiate between the textures developed after slight and severe deformations at both room and elevated temperatures. Keywords
