TA with Problem Drivers

Abstract
A study conducted in Florida compared the effectiveness of a TA-based rehabilitative program for problem drivers with that of a Defensive Driving course and that of no special program at all. A one-year follow-up of the three groups showed that the TA group had a significantly greater reduction in convictions for traffic law violations and in collisions than the control group (p < .05). The differences between the TA and DDC groups were less impressive, but still favored the TA group (p<.10).
