Abstract
This paper describes for the first time a method of evaluation of some properties (such as the optical nonlinearity, lowest energy gap, band structure, and other relevant parameters) of mixed ternary semiconducting compounds. A comparison of the calculated results with the available experimental data on mixed chalcopyrite crystals is encouraging. Keywords
