Abstract
Vital stains were employed in the study and dissection of the heart and aorta. The heart consists of a bulbous chamber perforated by 2 pairs of ostia;: is attached by muscular strands to the dorsal body wall and suspended laterally by 3 main pairs of alary muscles. There is no ventral diaphragm. Nephrocytes clothe the heart and most of the aorta and are also found in the cavities of these organs. The heart and aortal walls are 1-cell thick and consist of longitudinal and circular fibrillae embedded in sarcoplasm. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
