Abstract
This article presents an introductory marketing course design for distance education students enrolled in either a post-undergraduate certificate or M.B.A. program. The course is a pilot for seven other business courses that use a server-based software system designed for on-line, asynchronous course delivery over the World Wide Web by the Virtual-U Project team at Simon Fraser University. Course design specifications and learning outcome requirements paralleling knowledge and skills that are emphasized in the campus-based program are discussed, as are the results of student performances and feedback. Keywords
