Abstract
A new genus of the family Mustelidae (carnivores), Paragale huerzeleri n. gen. n. sp., is described from two complete crania, the anterior portion of another cranium, and a mandible from Aquitanian [Miocene] deposits at Montaigu-le-Blin (Allier). The characters which distinguish the new species from Plesiogale angustifrons Pomel are discussed.
