Abstract
Three tree shrews (Tupaia glis) showed no interproblem improvement on 800 6-trial object-discrimination problems. Although all Ss [subjects] then learned a series of object discriminations when trained to criterion on each, only 1 showed any interproblem improvement on this series. When Ss were returned to 50 6-trial problems, performance was superior to that to the original 800 problems, but no further interproblem learning was evident. Five Tupaia were tested on a series of delayed-response problems. On both learning set and delayed-response tasks, performance was inferior to that previously reported for primates and cats. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
