Abstract
Ion-temperature results are deduced from Doppler-broadening measurements of the () resonance line emitted from heliumlike iron impurity ions in the hot central core of PLT (Princeton Large Torus) tokamak discharges. The measurements were performed using a high-resolution Bragg-crystal spectrometer with a multiwire proportional counter.
