Abstract
This technical report summarizes the image understanding and smart sensor research activities. The research program has, as its primary purpose, the development of techniques and systems for understanding images. Methodologies range from low level image processing principles, smart sensor CCD LSI circuit design, up to higher level symbolic representations and relational structure manipulations.
