Estimation of Leaf Area of Tea (Camellia Sinensis, L.) from Linear Measurements

Abstract
Summary Methods are described for estimating the area of leaves of tea from linear dimensions, and constants are given for regressions fitted to data from planting material of both clonal and seedling origin. Regressions are presented which are based on single measurements of leaf length or width or a combination of both measurements. The choice of the equation to use will depend on the degree of accuracy required in the estimate.
