Abstract
Relatively long‐lived fluorescence has been observed in simple ketone solutions of europium and terbium salts at room temperature without any deliberate formation of chelates or other complexes. Emission and absorption spectra of the solutions are presented, as well as the effects of dilution and water content on their fluorescent output. The temperature behavior of the fluorescent output and lifetime is also shown. Keywords
