Abstract
The total ionization cross sections of He, N2, H2 and O2 due to electron impact have been calculated by integrating the expressions given by Khare for the ionization cross sections per unit energy range. The results are in satisfactory agreement with the experimental data. Comparison has also been made with other theoretical values. Keywords
