Abstract
Over recent years there has been a decline in the circulation of many newspapers and magazines in Britain. This report is based on the first of three studies* by the writer, carried out to determine the causes of the decline. It deals with the influence of television upon the circulation and reading of fifty-three national publications.Keywords
