Comparison of the effective medium and the Maxwell-Garnett predictions for the dielectric constants of granular metals

Abstract
It is shown that, in the case of granular metals, the Maxwell-Garnett theory provides a good approximation to the dielectric constant of granular metals, while the effective-medium theory does not apply.Keywords
