Abstract
A simple procedure is developed for deducing the a.c. permittivity of a material from measurements of anomalous conductivity. This procedure is similar to the Hamon method for calculating the loss factor. The range of applications, as well as the accuracy of the method, is discussed. Two examples of the applications of this procedure are given, namely for a nonpolar and for a polar dielectric.
