Abstract
Human nail bed capillaries have been photographed while venous pressure has been raised to 40 mm Hg. Diameters of the loop and venular ends of the capillary were measured with a discrimination of 1·5 μ. No increase in these diameters was found with venous occlusion and there was no increase in the number of capillaries open in any given area. Keywords
