Abstract
Radical radiation therapy combined with 5-fluorouracil and mitomycin-C was studied in 6 patients with previously untreated operable squamous cell carcinoma of the anal canal. All 6 patients achieved local tumor control and have retained anal continence. There was no evidence of late recurrence to date. This method of treatment evidently warrants further study. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
