Common Cutaneous Manifestations and Problems of Diabetes Mellitus

Abstract
The diabetic soon finds that his disease and its treatment cause a variety of skin problems: cutaneous expression of vascular and metabolic abnormalities, pyodermic and mycotic infections, recalcitrant ulceration of the feet, and accumulation or atrophy of fat at the site of repeated insulin injections. Correct instruction of the patient by physician and office nurse is the best prevention.
