Abstract
Two protein fractions separated by chromatography on DEAE-Sephadex are required for the binding of GTP as measured by retention on a Millipore filter. Both fractions are also needed for enzymatic binding of phenylalanyl-tRNA to ribosomes in the presence of GTP and poly U and for polymerization of phenylalanine in the presence of factor G. The results suggest that the transfer factors, Ts and Tu, are required for these reactions. This publication has 16 references indexed in Scilit:
